‘Bommai’ is the term for ‘doll’ in Tamil language which is the mother Dravidian languages and ‘Bomma’ is used in languages such as Malayalam and Kannada which are also Dravidian languages but they were in fact derived from the former and relatively new languages compared to Tamil.
